I have been very busy with a fan request. I have been testing and retesting Burt’s Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate Shampoo. After one use I must say I was not impressed but you know me I don’t just use it once and give up! I gave this shampoo an honest try and after one week I couldn’t take it anymore! Although it is 99.6% natural which is something I love it just did not cut it for me. It was not the fact that it didn’t lather I do mind that since its to be expected with an natural shampoo and is sulfate free. The fact that my hair felt dry and came out knotty and unmanageable which is NOT what my hair does is what makes me NOT LIKE THIS SHAMPOO! I must note that since the last time I did use Burt’s Bees shampoos A LOT HAS CHANGED and it not only the bottle. They seem to have changed the formula and the fact that I did not see my usual sugar beet and grapefruit shampoo should have been a red flag but you know me and I can refuse a new beauty product to put in my beauty bag. However this particular shampoo did NOTHING for me but actually seemed to cause damage. They call it Very Volumizing but it had actually made my hair heavy and flat! The old formula did make my hair full of volume this one FELL FLAT! I can only say that the smell was pleasant it kept my hair clean for a full work day but after work it really felt like you could go straight to a dinner out! I needed to go home and wash my hair in order to feel good again!
I CAN NOT tell all you to go out and buy this and to expect a good result that will last. If you need your hair to look okay for a few hour then yes but come on NO ONE want their hair to look only okay we want it to look great and you will NOT ACHIEVE GREAT with this shampoo. You will however waste about $8.00 that you could have put towards a better shampoo (See my other posts for better shampoo’s) I GIVE BURT’S BEES VERY VOLUMIZING SHAMPOO A 1 $ and that is being generous. The shampoo does nothing and my advice is for Burt’s Bees to go back to the lab and try again OR go back to the old formula! This IS NOT IN MY BEAUTY BAG!!
