illuMask Anti-Acne Light Therapy Mask

A little background information about this illuMask is that it is FDA Cleared and has Clinically proven results to help you have acne free skin in just 15 minutes a day. I honestly was so excited to try this because I do suffer from occasional mild acne. When it hits my face its awful and it takes weeks to get it to clear up only to leave a scars then to happen to me again a month or two later. This illuMask seemed like something I could try and since its sold at Wal-Mart @ http://www.walmart.com/ip/illuMask-Anti-Acne-Light-Therapy-Mask/32664760    I was comfortable that wouldn't hurt my skin like other creams I have used that made my skin dry and worse in some cases (as in more red and inflamed). The illuMask is like something I NEVER tried before it has a Mask portion and a controller that counts down your 30 treatments (After 30 treatments your mask will no longer turn on or work). You just have to cleanse your skin with a mild cleanser (I used Simple, See my review for that from 2013) I would not use a cleanser you use for acne treatments because illuMask instructions do say mild cleanser and acne based cleansers usually contain benzoyl peroxide which by any means is not mild. I pat my face dry and then take out this mask that look a little weird but it does have eye protective glasses that also keep the mask on your face. I sit down click the button on and the Blue Light that kills acne cause bacteria turns on along with the Red Light that reduces inflammation and heals breakouts turns on as well. I sit relax for 15 minutes as it does its thing. After 15 minutes the mask turns off on its own and then I have 29 days left to go according the controller that is counting down my treatments.


After the first treatment I will be honest I ran to the mirror thinking did it do anything?! I had a pimple forming on the side of my nose that day ( I feel them before they even pop up) and I had something going on, on my chin. They were awful and painful on my chin and I knew the one on my nose would not be any better. So every morning I did my mask and after just 5 treatments the one on my nose never gave me any problems NONE it just kind disappeared and I never had to think about it again. My chin was completely CLEARED of any blemishes in  14 DAYS!!


From 30 treatments to only 3 left.

By day 20 I saw something try to break out on my cheek and the next day on day 21 by the end of the night I saw nothing again. Old acne scars started to get really light especially the ones on my chin that are problem area. I did get even one pimple on my forehead which was a miracle in itself. The true test came by day 25 when my time of the month happened. I thought that this was never going to work I always get a pimple or two I look in the mirror and NOTHING no zit not a white head not a black head NOTHING! In fact my skin is SMOOTHER than ever. I have no pain from  the awful breakout that I would get, no ugly bumps to cover up with concealer and the little red bumps that I have had on my cheeks since I can remember are GONE! COOLA Mineral Sunscreen for Face in SPF 20

Summer is in full swing right now and me being me I am always on the hunt for a great sunscreen and one to protect my face is a must because fall and winter is closer than we think. I use sunscreen on face all year round and I was really drawn to the COOLA line because its green friendly, cruelty free and TSA approved for all you travelers! I got on the COOLA website searched around bought a couple of things (which are all going to be reviewed thought out the next few months) but what I had to review was there COOLA Mineral Sunscreen for the face in SPF 20 with a light natural tint and rose essence.

I got the package and used it immediately! I noticed that it seem maybe too dark but after applying it on my face it blended beautifully! It smelled wonderful! I was also pleased to see that it dried down really nicely and kept my skin moisturized! The coverage was also AMAZING I didn't need to follow up with any type of liquid foundation this covered it all. I never experienced that before with a mineral sunscreen moisturizer I was stunned to be honest with you. For a beach day that is awesome for a day a work I only set it with a little loose powder mascara on my eyes and liner! I was literally ready for work in like 6 minutes throughout the month of July while testing this COOLA mineral sunscreen for the face.


Great Sunscreen but beware of that packaging!

I do love the COOLA Mineral Sunscreen for the Face in SPF 20 but I have one negative to report in all honesty the tube it comes in super easy to pack in a beach bag or your purse but when you try to pump some out and it won't come out be warned that if you unscrew the top to let the air pressure out it will squirt out after you pump it and it will go everywhere including you nice blouse or shirt. It happened to me twice and because this is a tinted SPF moisturizer you need to get the shirt or blouse cleaned up and spot treat the stain ASAP!

IT IS $36.00 FOR A 1.7 OUNCE TUBE & I COULD ONLY FIND IT ONLINE ON THE COOLA SUNCARE WEBSITE WHICH ISNT THAT CONVENIENT & IT WILL STAIN YOUR CLOTHES IF YOU GET ANY ON YOURSELF WHIC IS WHY I HAD TO GIVE IT A 4 $$$$ BUT OVERALL DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY AND TRY THIS BECAUSE THE BENEFITS ARE OUTSTANDING AND DO WEIGHTOUT THE ONE NEAGATIVE AND THE HIGHER COST TO BUY AND SHIP THE PRODUCT!

 I was so excited when I opened the box and saw this inside it was the first thing I used. I first want to give you an important Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara tip only brush your eyelashes out DO NOT CURL them its not needed when using Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara. Just apply one coat as usual and watch your lashes appear to grow and curl up on there own. I apply one more coat just to make sure I got every lash even the tiny ones will look twice as big with this mascara. The brush is a great size and you can apply one coat to your bottom lashes. No one will think that these are your lashes. I got ask a bunch of time at a Engagement party (the second day that I used this mascara) what I used and when I said two coats or Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara from Rimmel they flipped out and had to go buy some.

Aquaphor Lip Repair from Eucerin

Well I am so happy to bring to you something that is actually worth our time Beauty Bag readers! I feel as thought the past posts for lip products were well a disappointment, until now! It has been a rough winter and every part of our bodies have paid the price. From rough and dry feet to parched skin but the one body part most people forget about is the lips! They are soft and gentle and something we use everyday so I found my way to take care of them after everything else out there only made my lips feel worse instead of better.

I haven't really done a Do It Yourself (DIY) home remedy on this blog ever so be patient with me. I am first going to tell you how much of course the Aquaphor Lip Repair Lip Balm works great alone. I mean it is fragrance free and prerservative free so even the most sensitive of lips don't usually get irrated from it. I love I use it everyday at least twice a day. For me I love it right after work when I get in the car and don't need to have any lipstick/stain/gloss on my lips anymore. I slather the Aquaphor Lip Repair and by the time my drive home is over my lips have absorbed it and look as though they are brand new again. They are soft, supple and not dry at all! I also love to apply it at night before bed so that it can repair them while I sleep besides I don't need a flavored lip balm while I sleep the Aquaphor Lip Repair is immediate relief with no scent so I feel really good about it and I love that it actually works in healing and helping my lips. Note this in not like Vaseline! I promise you its so much better and worth it!

Now before I go into the Aquaphor Lip Repair from Eucerin final approval from me I wanted to share with you a quick little DIY home remedy for your lips that you can do once a week without spending any extra money.  Now I am hoping you all have some sugar at home. Whether you bake with it or just have it to sweeten your coffee or tea. Maybe you have those packets sitting around in your purse that you took from the coffee shop whatever you have or where you got it isn't important just grab your sugar the white sugar cane kind not brown sugar the white sugar works better for exfoliating your lips. Now put a healthy dose of the Aquaphor Lip Repair lip balm on your lips grab about a tablespoon full of sugar in the palm of your hands and pucker up and kiss the sugar. Now scrub your lips with your ring finger in a gentle circular motion. Do this for about 45 seconds and if you feel you need more sugar grab a little more from you hand. Then after no more than a minute rinse your lips. Yes they will be a little red for a while but I promise you it will go away to reveal a smooth, soft lips that feel really great. No dead dry skin cells on them just clean refreshed lips. Since you are exofiating them with the Aquaphor Lip Repair Lip Balm they being repaired while exfoliating and there is no irrtaiton. I have tried expensive and inexpensive so called lip scrubs that didn't make much of a difference in my lips but make them dry and cracked so I went and try this and I am so HAPPY I did. No cracking or pain just soft supple lips for about a week. I do this once a week usual Sundays so that my lipsticks/stains/glosses will glide on all week to healthy exfoliated lips.

"Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure"

IMPRESSED! That is what I have to say about the imPRESS Press on Manicure by Broadway Nails. I am someone who has been preoccupied about my nails since well forever! I will buy and try anthing that has to do with making my natural nails look better or when I am short on time and have somewhere important to be and can’t get a manicure I have found the answer to that problem! I was in the drug store and looking at all the fake nails and the glue. However, I read reviews on www.influenster.com and they were very positive so I thought about it.

They only had 3 to choose from but one caught my eye it was called Hottie. I grabbed the package paid $8.00 plus tax and took them home and let them sit there for two days. Then I was invited to an event and realized my nails weren’t done and painting them on my own seemed like a hassle so I grabbed the imPRESS Press on Manicure read the directions and in less then 10 minutes I had these BEAUTIFUL nails that looked like a Gel Manicure you would pay upward of $45.00 for at a nail salon! They were quick and simple to apply and last for up to a week!  There are 24 nail covers in 12 sizes! They come in solid colors and in these wonderful prints. The first set I did lasted 6 days before my thumb fell off but a few days later I went out and decided to test them one more time with a pattern called Starstruck and that set lasted exactly 7 days! A word of advice is if you hand wash dishes do wear gloves! This will help you help the nails get to that seventh day! If it doesn’t seem clear yet on how I feel about these nails I will GIVE IMPRESS PRESS ON MANICURE A 5 $$$$$ ON VALUE, BEAUTY,  EFFECTIVENESS AND QUILTIY.

On a side note these may be difficult to find at the store. The patterns are limited at stores like Riteaid and Wal-Mart. Target does not yet carry them however, I did find that Walgreens and CVS has the best choices and if you go on Walgreens.com or CVS.com find the pattern you like best and do a store locator to find one nearest you that has that pattern! I have a bonus review of a product I received complementary of Influester for testing purposes from my Spring Fling VoxBox.

The product in my #SpringVoxBox is something that I could just grab and use I had to wait until well that time of the month to use it. I will not go into graphic details about my period but I will tell you that I got a full box 16 count of Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons valued at $3.99-$4.99. These were complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes and they were extremely welcomed! Face it we all get our periods and we all need femalecare products so to get a whole box for free was well AWESOME! These were different than what I usually buy which was welcomed. They were a regular absorbency but for me what was different was that they were lightly scented. I was worried at first but I used one and had no issues as in irritation or leaks! That was great so I put them to the test and used them for what they are also intended for Sports! I play tennis once a week with a friend and I used on of these for a two hour game. I had NO PROBLEMS! Leak free and everything was right where its supposed to be. My final test was during a Yoga class I teach and again no leaks just great protection! The worries I had about the scent in them were for nothing because it did not bother me a bit it actual made me feel really confident at the Yoga class.

I give PLAYTEX SPORT FRESH BALANCE 5 $$$$$ ON THE FACT THAT THE TAMPONS DO THEIR JOB! IT GAVE ME PROTECTION WHILE JUST AT WORK AND WHILE PLAYING SPORTS. NO LEAKS AND NO ODOR! THEY ARE THE PERFECT ADDITION TO ANY WOMANS BEAUTY BAG/GYM BAG OR PURSE SO THAT WE CAN #PlayOn no matter what time of the month it is!

"Kiss everlasting French Manicure"

I have brought you an additional blog post about one of my FAVORITE products that I received from my #SpringVoxBox compliments of Influenster!
