Splurge or Save: StriVectin VS. La Roche-Posay

 Beauty Bag Dolls I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! I know I have been a little behind on posting reviews lately and I have said in other posts with my updates that like all of you I am sure I have been busy, and life has changed a lot for me over the past few months, but I have still been testing products all the time. I have been even more selective at what I bring to you. That being said I am also taking even more time to test and review the products because on my shopping hauls to Ulta Beauty and Sephora I look at similar product features, different brands and of course different price points. If you're like me for some reason, I am of course drawn to the more expensive product that is very similar to its cheaper counterpart of another brand but when I leave the store with the expensive one in my bag, after checkout I cannot help to also think about if the cheaper counterpart would have been a good choice as well.

So, while I use the expensive StriVectin Multi-action Super C Retinol Serum for about three weeks I am beyond impressed with the results. I began to see them on day 7. The skin was brighter, fines lines relaxed, and dark spots softened. This is a 1-ounce bottle for $72 that you use twice a day. I was enjoying the results and looked at the Calander and decided another trip to Ulta Beauty was in order to buy a mini version to take with me on vacation because I wanted to keep up and keep on getting results. I also want to mention that this is a vegan and cruelty free product. I must say this is my splurge product and since I liked the results, I also knew I needed to purchase another full-size product since the current 1-ounce version was getting very low after 50 days of use.

As I walked into Ulta Beauty I remembered the Save product that I had eyed up when originally    purchasing StriVectin and as I added the mini to my basket to take with me on Vacation in a few weeks I was this close to tossing in the $72 version as well but then I remembered the La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C Serum so I go over to it, review that yes, it is a Pure Vitamin C serum without retinol but it promises similar results like brightening, evening out tone and texture as well. The price point is $41.99 which is also appealing, and it uses Salicylic Acid instead of the Retinol.  I decide to purchase it and after stopping the StriVectin for a few days just to reset my skin I grabbed the La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C and I noticed that similar to the StriVectin it did indeed have scent which is not a deal breaker to me. I used this each morning as directed and I must say I really do like this serum. Results were what I would say immediate because after just two days I noticed my face was bright and glowing! My skin was also very smooth. I have no major complaints however I only noticed that it may not work as quickly with wrinkles. I used the entire bottle and then began to see results after about 60 days. I did purchase a second bottle to continue the journey. 

The question is splurge on StriVectin or save on La Roche-Posay? I say for me it is a draw. I feel that the La Roche-Posay gives you fast results with brightening and if that is all your looking for than grab it because you will save a lot of money and get your brightening and smoothing results fast! If you need the wrinkle correction Splurge for the StriVectin because within 14 days, you will see your wrinkles smooth out and you will have brightening and smoothing around day 5 to day 7! That being said I purchase the mini in StriVectin ($15 is the cost for the mini) and a full size of the La Roche-Posay. Keep in mind you use the StriVectin twice a day and La Roche-Posay is once in the AM.

HSN TSV Full List July 2022

 Beauty Bag Dolls I was hard at work gathering the full HSN Todays Special Value List for July 2022! I did not want to post a tiny little sneak peek list and waited a little longer so I could gather the entire month for you! This month is full of goodies for everyone depending on what you're looking for. I am very interested in the various electronics being offered this month as well as Benefit Cosmetics, Beauty Bio and the Summer Beauty Day. I hope that HSN as well as QVC offer more Free Shipping days since that helps with budgeting and even for me tends to cause me to add more things to the cart. Let's face it $5.50 for shipping and handling is a little over the top in my opinion. I mean I have paid that much for a pair of shoes that weighed ounces and they stuffed into a plastic bag and tossed onto my porch so.... Yes that was me ranting. The only thing I can say is in June HSN held a Clearance Even and did a shipping deal where if you spend $75 or more on clearance you get free shipping. That helps unless you're buying under $75.

Update: I know I am not posting as much right now on my Instagram and on my Blog I am just very busy as I know all of you are as well. I also have a lot of products I am trying out many have been not so great and others I am trying out a little extra because I have had products that are great until three weeks go by and suddenly my skin is having a bad reaction to it. For me it's important to bring you the best and that can take more time to try and review.  Now that being said I can recommend right now that you pick up the StriVectin  Multi-Action Super C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C Serum. I like this so much that I purchased a full size and then went and bought the travel mini to take with me on vacation!

QVC TSV July 2022 Sneak Peek

Beauty Bag Dolls I am bringing you the July 2022 QVC TSV sneak peek. I waited a few extra days so that I could bring you as many dates in July as I could find. Quick Update: I am currently trying out some products for the skin. It is a product from Neutrogena be on the lookout for my review on my blog right here for them in the next week or so.  I also started a new serum so I will keep you posted on that! Update: Just wanted to update you on what is happening with my blog of course. I have for the past few posts been focusing on haircare products which is important to me of course and I like to share all of that with you. I am not sure, but I have been walking into my  Ulta Beauty stores and Sephora's and I am drawn to looking at haircare, it has been a pull in that direction, so I am going with it and sharing my finds along the way. I also have been changing up my skincare and that takes time to test and work into my routine. As far as makeup goes, I have been keeping things as they are except for lipstick and lip-gloss I am changing things up in that department. The skincare item I am currently trying out is brand new from the brand I have to keep it a secret at the moment but the moment I can spill the tea it will be most likely on Instagram first. 

 I know I teased in the beginning of this review how I got this product for a company called Influenster to try the for free in exchange for my honest review. I have used each and every day since it arrived at my home! This is a really affordable heat spray you can buy for only $20.00 at Sephora or the Verb website. Glamglow Supercleanse Clearing Cream-To-Foam Cleanser & BrightEyes Eye Ceram

 Beauty Bag Dolls I have a two for one review for you from two of my favorite products right now that I have added to my beauty routine from the Glamglow brand. I have been a fan of their charcoal mask and peel masks for years now as well as two of their moisturizers but now I have added their cleanser and eye cream to my skincare routine, and I am very happy. The Glamglow Supercleanse Clearing Cream-To-Foam Cleanser is my new must have favorite that I reach for daily. The Glamglow BrightEyes Illuminating Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream which is so good. Update: I know that everyone has been liking my quick little updates from time to time on my blog posts. I have a little one for you today. I went to Sephora on Monday to repurchase my favorite shampoo and conditioner but of course I didn't because it was not in stock so I grabbed it online but while there, I did grab a new leave in treatment type product that adds shine and gloss as well as heat protection so I will probably post a photo of that on Instagram as early as Friday or sometime next week. I am still trying it out each day this week and I want to just make sure that it is worthy of a post. I also purchased some new fragrances but I find that to be a very personal choice so you know I hardly do those types of review on here, but I have a few times so maybe I will. Also picked up a lot of travel size products for an upcoming vacation so I will be posting a photo on that as well in the coming weeks.

Dior Backstage Flash Perfect Concealer & Giveaway

Now this was defiantly a want product more than a need because I just finished one concealer and still had at least three to use that were only halfway, but you know temptation got the best of me and I honestly have no regrets because this concealer from Dior is amazing! It is the perfect shade match (I mix others) and the coverage is perfection. I have used up to 3 different concealers on my face at one time since one would work better under my eyes while another worked better on blemishes or dark spots but the  Dior Backstage Flash Perfect Concealer does the trick all over my face or where ever I need it. No need to mix or match. Now the ingredient deck is great on this concealer and I will include those details check out Sephora and that is where you will choose your shade from if you win.
