I have an amazing new to me product that I discovered! It is Meaningful Beauty Crème de Serum. I decided to write an extra review on the Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spa Mask that Influenster provided me with the Red Earth Clay Spa one complimentary for testing purposes because it was so AMAZING that I have already bought more and will be including them as stocking stuffers this holiday season.

The retail value is reasonable at $2.49. Be sure to set aside 10 to 15 minutes for this mask for it to really go to work. The instructions are to make sure your face is clean and free of makeup so this is the perfect mask at the end of the day. I applied the mask which was very simple and then relaxed for 15 minutes. It smelled really nice like cinnamon and the Red Clay is supposed to give you a deep clean and my skin after the 15 minutes felt INCREDIBLE! I could actually see the difference my pores were smaller and my skin looked RADIANT! I received my Influenster 2013 Fall Beauty VioletVoxBox this week and I am so happy to get all of these product complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes! When my #VioletVoxBox arrived in the mail I was excited to see it. I opened up and found that I was selected to receive a SOYJOY bar in Banana Flavor, a Goody Athletique Headband, Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish in the Blow Bubbles Shade, the Montagne Jeunesse Red Earth Clay Spa Mask in Pulped Pomegranate and the Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo. Right out of the box I tested the Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Polish in the Blow Bubbles Number 130 Shade retail value $4.99. I love the pink shade its beautiful and I have been kind of obsessed with pink polish since I was a kid so the fact that Influenster sent me Blow Bubbles complimentary for testing purposes is a definite plus. After applying one coat I saw that it was a little light so I applied a second coat after waiting for it to dry for about 5 minutes! It looked great applied well and I LOVE the large brush! I am so thrilled to receive this Goody Athletique Headwrap complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I used this the evening I received it for a pretty intense workout of yoga and some cardio a little over an hour of working out and this Goody Headwrap was holding up my hair and keeping me dry by wicking away the moisture! The next Fall 2013 VioletVoxBox item that I received complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster was the tastiest! I received a SOYJOY Bar valued at 0.99cents and I decided to eat it as a snack to get me through to dinner time around 3:30pm. From the second I opened it I was intrigued because it smelled like banana bread which could be because I got the SOYJOY bar in Banana flavor but this was a lot better then a piece of banana break because it had baked whole soy and fruit in it. It tasted soft and chewy with a lot less calories only a 130 for the whole delicious bar. I GIVE IT A 4 $$$$ in TUMMY SATIFACTION FOR TASTE, TEXTURE AND THE FACT THAT THE LURE OF THE SMELL OF BANANA IS JUST WINDERFULLY DELICIOUS! Its the week of Thanksgiving and boy is it cold outside on the East Coast! I know its been a minute since I have left a review but don't think for a second I have forgotten. I have been busy testing a few products at a time and I know its the holiday season and we all want to look great when visiting with family we may have not see all year. I have brought you something that will help you out in just a few short seconds literally it will look like you got an eyebrow lift!

I recently discovered Cailyn Cosmetics and upon this I decided to buy online there Gelux Eyebrow in Hazelnut and some tinted lip balm (review to come in the coming weeks). JinSOON Nail Polish

Hi Again to all My Readers,

I have been very busy these last few weeks testing multiple products and making notes. I have also been involved in Influenster which is a nation of beauty bloggers and trendsetters who write and share their reviews for the possibility in receiving a free voxbox of goodies. Now to the good stuff or what I thought would be good. JinSOON nail polish. I bought this on my quest again for a great nail polish that would last. I must admit I bought it right after I tested and reviewed another polish that wasn't so great but after I tested one that was great (Butter London see review). However, my obsession for great nails gets me every time and I bought way too many bottles of JinSOON include the Blue Iris, Tea Rose and Auspicious to name a few.

Fell quickly out of love with JinSOON's Blue Iris

Unfortunately, at $18 a piece I thought that they would be quality MY MISTAKE! After just three days they had chipped and faded away. I mean they looked great for two days really great and after that it was DOWN HILL! After removing it my nails were brittle and dry. It was really upsetting to get a two day manicure that also DAMAGED my nails that were really healthy before hand! My temtation of these great colors got the best of me but it should not fool you. I will include the photo of  what was a great color (tea rose) but it did the worse damage.

Tea Rose looks great now but it damages nails later!

I give JINSOON NAIL POLISHES 0 $ FOR POOR QUALITY AND FOR DAMAGING NAILS. THE JINSOON NAIL POLISH TEMPTS CONSUMERS WITH BEAUTIFUL COLORS THAT DAMAGE NAILS AFTER JUST THREE DAYS! IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE FACT THAT IT CHIPS ON DAY THREE SOME OF US WOULD KEEP THE POLISH ON AND PROBABLY SUFFER EVEN MORE NAIL DAMAGE THAN THIS POLISH IS WORTH. I bought this awful nail polish on the JinSoon website which I will not promote! Just had to let you know that, that is where I found it!

THIS POLISH IS A WASTE OF HARD EARNED MONEY AND I TOOK IT OUT OF MY BEAUTY BAG ASAP. YOU SHOULD NEVER PUT IT IN YOURS!

Two more polishes that should NEVER be in anyone's Beauty Bag!


 

Eyeko Curvy Brush Mascara

Hello Again Everyone,

I have been very busy testing several product but I have promised you for a while now a review on the Eyeko Curvy Brush Mascara. I have been wanting to try this mascara for a while now so I took the plunge and bought two. For years I have used a few different mascaras and with all of them I have had to curl my lashes first with an eyelash curler so when I heard and read that the Eyeko brand sold a tube of mascara that curls your lashes while coating them with mascara all in one step I was both excited and skeptical. Nonetheless, I bought two tubes from their website for $19 each. I went for two because I thought that if I loved it I never be without it and if I hated it I could always give the second one to someone for their  own person testing and face it everyone love getting a gift!

Drum roll please.....I LOVE THE MASCARA! It is wonderful. I used it for over a month to make sure it wasn't a fluke but the Eyeko Curvy Brush Mascara does what it says. Just apply it hold it there for a second to curl and BOOM you have mascara coated lashes that are also CURLED!! I was amazed and THRILLED! I have used mascara since middle school and I have always had to have an eyelash curler but I am ditching it now for the first time in years!!

I can touch them and there is NO CRUNCHY feel which is something we all experience with mascara. It gives you the intense jet black color without smudging or flaking. It is water resistant and get this it lasts! The Eyeko London company claims it last 12 hours but I had it on for 15 hours with no issues!  It comes off when you want it off with any make-up wipe, eye make-up remover or your favorite cleanser. I tried it all to make sure!  I must also mention it is paraben free! I love the tube it comes in. The unique tube is like a toothpaste tube which helps you get every drop of mascara out without waste and the brush is specially designed to grab your lashes and help define, curl and lift them in one step!!

Butter London Pop Art Trio

Hello to all my Beautiful Readers,

As promised I have been testing and retesting another set of three nail polishes. These are the Butter London Pop Art Trio. I bought these in search of the perfect nail polish. I was attracted to these because they are a limited edition from Butter London and the colors looked like fun! I like to play with nail polishes so I thought why not give these a try?



Butter London Keks

The first color I decided to try from the Pop Art Collection is the Keks which is described as an opaque, vivid blue crème it is also an new nail color to the Butter London Line. I used is several different ways with a top coat and without and I had found that this pop of color was excellent it lasted either way for about 5 days before chipping or fading which for me is pretty great since an average work week is 5 days! the only negative was that when I went to remove this nail color it left a blue sheen on my nails like a stain of sorts I hoped that the other colors would not do this.



Butter London Keks and Primrose Hill Picnic

I then tried the Primrose Hill Picnic described an opaque, tropical pink crème and that it is! It honestly seemed a little to bold for me in the bottle but after I applied it I love it! It is beautiful! Surprisingly it actually lasted 6 days for me with a topcoat and 5 days without! But it too left a pink sheen on my nails after removing!




Cheeky Chops by Butter London

I would say that two out of three is a score so far but I tested the third polish from the Pop Art Trio just the same and it was the Cheeky Chops which is described as an opaque, canary-yellow crème and it too was very beautiful! I put it threw the ringer wearing it no matter what the occasion and I love it and found that everyone complimented me on this interesting bold color. I found that it lasted about 5 days with or without the topcoat and it too like the other two in its collection left a sheen on my nails after removing!

While the sheen that all three of the Butter London Pop Art Trio nail polishes left on nails may have annoyed me I cannot say that this is a deal breaker. I give BUTTER LONDON POP ART COLLECTION A 4 $$$$ FOR QUALITY. THEY LASTED FOR AN AVERAGE OF 5 DAYS AND TESTING THREE DIFFERENT COLORS THAT ALL LAST IS RARE! THE FACT THAT THEY ALL THREE LEFT A SHEEN AFTER REMOVING IS ONE OF THE ONLY NEGATIVES WHICH IS WHY THEY DO NOT GET A FIVE. HOWEVER I WILL BE KEEPING THESE AND ADDING MORE IN MY BEAUTY BAG!!

The cost for the Butter London Pop Art Collection is $45 for the trio. This Sunday I actually have something to be happy about! I am super excited to bring you a product that I actually like! While I must warn that this product is for dry/mature skin so its not really for me I still wanted to try it because I think it is NEVER to early to start thinking about premature aging! If you want to look good and stay looking good for a long time then you have to start early!

With the John Masters Organics Vitamin C Anti-Aging Face Serum I started off slow very slow because my skin is not yet mature. I used it once a day three days out of the week at night for two weeks then I used twice a day three times a weeks from here on out! I am HOOKED! It is light, silky, cooling on the skin and quickly absorbs. Depending on your skin you may use one to two pumps! While other serums that are "organic" sting and burn this one was a pleasant surprise (See Juice Beauty Review Below) . I put it on let it dry for no more that an minute and went on with moisturizer at night or moisturizer, primer and make-up for day! The results are a brighter completion and a healthy glow. Even on the days I did not use the Vitamin C Serum my skin had this ethereal glow to it even without make-up. For me that alone is worth it!

Hello Everyone,

On my quest for nail perfection I came across Julep Nail Polish. I was super excited and wanted to give it a try. I grabbed two bottles one called Lacey which had a shimmer finish and the second bottle was called Florence which had a crème finish. The bottles cost $14 each so I had pretty high expectations which may have been my first mistake.

Juleps Lacey was a one day wonder!

I started on clean dry nails and opened up Lacey. I not a huge fan of any type of glitter polish because in the past they have been hard to remove this was not the case. After applying it at night waiting for it to dry and going to bed I got up in the morning and started my work day as usual I did nothing out of the ordinary and this polish began to chip and fade!! It only took half the day and my manicure look awful!! I was annoyed but thought that I should still give it a chance I reapplied again and the same thing happened.

However me being me I still gave the Nail Polish Florence a chance because it seemed perfect for an event I was headed off to in a couple of hours. I love it for the neutral color and for the fact that it lasted for that evening but the next day the same thing happed to the Julep Florence as it did to the Julep Lacey. CHIPPED and FADED!!

Juleps Lacey was a ONE and DONE!!

Well what can I say I spent $28 for perfection that lasted 18 hours 6 or 7 of which I was sleeping for. Over all, I give the JULEP brand of polish A 2 $$ RATING! IT IS ONLY GOOD FOR ONE DAY SO DON'T EXPECT MORE!! I WILL KEEP THESE FOR THOSE KIND OF MOMENTS! THEY DON'T LAST SO DO NOT BUY JULEP AND GET FOOLED LIKE I DID!

Juice Beauty

Hello Again Everyone,

I have to do it one more time and I really don't like doing this but its a must! Its another unfavorable review about some products that I really tried to like for so many reasons.  Juice Beauty is organic and made it the USA but anything good about it ends there!

I took a leap of faith a few weeks ago and decided to buy two kits from Juice Beauty. One was the Juice Beauty Age Defy Solution Kit valued at $60 selling for $39 (should have been a red flag warning) but I went ahead bought it and then decided to throw in Juice Beauty SPF 8 Lip Moisturizers. It was three lip balms for $15 I didn't think much of it thought it was an average deal and hey its organic! WRONG MOVE!

I got the stuff delivered to my door step and I was super excited. I stared with the lip balms trying them out and they didn't taste bad and seem okay until a few hour later my lips were burnt and fiery red! My lips are never chapped or in pain until I used Juice Beauty SPF 8 Lip Moisturizers. The pain was awful and my lips look like I lite them on fire which was also how they felt! Luckily it only lasted for a few days! So needless to say I am going to pull out the 0 $ FOR THE SECOND TIME! JUICE BEAUTY SPF 8 LIP MOISTURIZERS ARE A COMPLETE FAIL DO NOT AND REPEAT DO NOT PLACE THESE IN YOUR BEAUTY BAG!

Now for my second kit, The Juice Beauty Age Defy Solution Kit. Here is the best way for me to break it down for you. Product by product.

 Green Apple Cleansing Gel - Smells good but DOES NOT CLENSE WELL leaves skin shiney but not smooth and clean. Makeup is still on even if you scrub (which you shouldn't)

 Green Apple Peel Full Strength- Not sure what is peels but it will leave your skin RED and it STINGS but that is about it!

 Green Apple Age Defy Serum- Again this serum smells good but does not absorb quickly like other serums I have now tested and will tell you about but this one is A NO!

Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer- After torturing your skin with the first three steps you would thing the moisturizer would help but it IRRITATES your skin so badly that you almost cry! I HATED IT! I mean LOATH IT!

 Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer- This was the night moisturizer that I honestly was so AFRAID to try after putting my skin threw hell but I did it and this was actually the golden child of the kit! the only savor! Made my skin finally relax and feel smooth and cooling! SEEMED TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE THE OTHER JUICE BEAUTY PRODUCTS DID TO MY SKIN.

OVERALL I GIVE JUICE BEAUTY AGE DEFY SOLUTION KIT A 0 $ EVEN THE GREEN APPLE AGE DEFY MOISTURIZER COULD NOT SAVE YOU! YOU TOURCHERED MY SKIN AND LIPS! THIS STUFF IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE EVERYONE SAVE YOUR MONEY BUT MOST OF ALL YOUR SKIN! IT MAY SAY IT FOR EVERYONE  AGE 20 AND UP BUT NOT FOR SENSITIVE SKIN BUT IT WILL GIVE THE ONES WITHOUT SENSITIVE SKIN SENSTIVE SKIN! STAY AWAY!

I thought I was making a good choice since it is organic however, I was mistaken and taken for TWICE. I was not as upset that the product was a complete failure as much as I was when I informed the company about there half filled product they were VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECFUL! I never asked for my money back or anything like that instead I got a whole bunch of well that's impossible I watch the production line from start to finish. The fact that they treated me so AWFULLY is just NOT RIGHT I only wanted an I'm sorry even if it was fake.

Fresh Rose Freshface Primer

I know I have been not blogging in a while however I have been on a huge mission. A labor of love of sorts. I have had nothing but BAD experiences with Primers  (see previous review of Pixi Primer) and since then it has been my personal mission to find a PRIMER! Well after trying a few more primers that I thought would work I finally found THE ONE!

The primer I am talking about is Fresh's Fresh Rose Freshface Primer!! OH MY GOODNESS I have searched high end and drugstores for a primer for way to long until I found this one! It is THE BEST! It goes on after any moisturizer, treatments and SPF of course but BEFORE your make-up! This primer glides on so smoothly and makes pores disappear before your eyes! I mean I have worn it alone without makeup because honestly I LOVE IT that much! It really makes you look put together even before any makeup goes on! It does smell like roses too! The scent is not heavy and goes away after applying but I am telling you will want to wear this even to bed to seal in any products you use or even to the gym just to have that I have great natural looking skin look.

I know, I have sung its praises enough you want to know how much well its not the cheapest it is $35 for one ounce on the Fresh website. Honestly, the website is the only place I trust to order it from. I know that you can probably go threw this pretty quickly, I sure can so I will still try to find a primer at the drugstore even if it make my face break out its still my mission to have at least two! However, the FRESH ROSE FRESHFACE PRIMER GET A 5 $$$$$ FROM ME BECAUSE SOMETIMES NO MATTER THE PRICE A GREAT PRODUCT IS JUST WORTH MAKING YOU LOOK AND FEEL GREAT! Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo

Hello to all of my faithful readers!

 I have been very busy with a fan request. I have been testing and retesting Burt’s Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate Shampoo. After one use I must say I was not impressed but you know me I don’t just use it once and give up! I gave this shampoo an honest try and after one week I couldn’t take it anymore! Although it is 99.6% natural which is something I love it just did not cut it for me. It was not the fact that it didn’t lather I do mind that since its to be expected with an natural shampoo and is sulfate free. The fact that my hair felt dry and came out knotty and unmanageable which is NOT what my hair does is what makes me NOT LIKE THIS SHAMPOO! I must note that since the last time I did use Burt’s Bees shampoos A LOT HAS CHANGED and it not only the bottle. They seem to have changed the formula and the fact that I did not see my usual sugar beet and grapefruit shampoo should have been a red flag but you know me and I can refuse a new beauty product to put in my beauty bag. However this particular shampoo did NOTHING for me but actually seemed to cause damage. They call it Very Volumizing  but it had actually made my hair heavy and flat! The old formula did make my hair full of volume this one FELL FLAT! I can only say that the smell was pleasant it kept my hair clean for a full work day but after work it really felt like you could go straight to a dinner out! I needed to go home and wash my hair in order to feel good again!

I CAN NOT tell all you to go out and buy this and to expect a good result that will last. If you need your hair to look okay for a few hour then yes but come on NO ONE want their hair to look only okay we want it to look great and you will NOT ACHIEVE GREAT with this shampoo. You will however waste about $8.00 that you could have put towards a better shampoo (See my other posts for better shampoo’s) I GIVE BURT’S BEES VERY VOLUMIZING SHAMPOO A 1 $ and that is being generous. The shampoo does nothing and my advice is for Burt’s Bees to go back to the lab and try again OR go back to the old formula! This IS NOT IN MY BEAUTY BAG!!

This BB Cream is a good start and to top it off it smell nice, glides on smooth and more importantly it COVERS up your imperfects in ONE EASY STEP!! Now if you do have a bad break out or one stubborn one then by all means use a little concealer  then follow up with The L’Oreal Paris Youth Code BB Cream in your proper shade and it will be as if you have NO FLAWS!! It stays a little tacky for a few minutes I notice about a two minute dry time. You can wait to apply a finishing powder or not. But note if you don’t wait the powder you apply will appear darker at first on your skin. Honestly some  days I don’t even use the powder because it just looks that great! It stays on all day. Through a warm or even hot muggy day. I was surprised at the gym because it did not budge. You will not regret this purchase!

Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant

The SECRET is OUT! That’s right I have been a fan of the Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant for a long time now and with the weather getting warmer its defiantly time to sing its praises!

Before this deodorant came out on the market the stuff we used was about average in my personal opinion. We have all been there at the drugstore or box store buying different deodorants hoping for a better result. Whether it be those white marks it leaves on our black shirts and blouses or the fact that it just didn’t last. Well now Secret has finally come up with something that solves EVERYONES problems whether it be the white marks on the black shirt or the wetness even after applying before and after a work-out at the gym.

I have tested this for a long time and I have given it a chance to fail several time believe me . To my pleasant surprise it has passed even my ultimate test. I get up shower put this on around 6 AM get dressed  leave for work. I check my underarms for any white marks and NOTHING! Then after a long day I come home and its smell fresh and  is dry to the touch. (No matter what blouse or shirt I wore each time everything was PERFECT!) Then I change and hit the gym get out of the gym and nothing. Its around 8PM before I get into the shower and it is as if my underarms just got a fresh reapplication of the Secret deodorant only that haven’t its over 12 hours since I have applied it! I have been using the SECRET CLINICAL STRENGTH LIGHT AND FRESH SCENT for so long now I forget what the others were even like and you can too!

I give SECRET CLINICAL STRENGTH DEODORANT A 5 $$$$$ on EFFECTIVENESS QAULITY and VALUE! This is the BEST MONEY you will ever spend on a beauty product! The prices range from $7.50 for 1.6 ounces to $11.50 for 2.6 ounces I go for the big one just so I don’t have to worry about running out for a while. It comes in a wide variety of scents and I don’t think it matters but I have had my best experience with the light and fresh scent. You can buy them at local supermarkets while grocery shopping or at box stores like Walmart and Target. It’s of course found in drugstore like Rite Aid and Walgreens. A lot of these stores also put them on sale from time to time! Nexxus Hydra-Light Shampoo

HI Again to all my BEAUTIFUL READERS! I have found you another product that has been tested and retested just to be sure. Everyone knows how important our hair is to us and how many hours we spend on it on any given day. The washing, conditioned, treating and styling just to name of few. Well while I am still on the quest to find one product that can do it all (not holding my breathe either) I have found another great shampoo to help us all achieve a great hair day. I’ve pinned to my Beauty board on Pintrest a while ago after just a few times of using it and knowing that I am a beauty -product -aholic I didn’t bring it to you, my faithful readers, after me just using it I had a few friends test it out to be sure.

The shampoo I am talking about is Nexxus Hydra-Light Shampoo. It has a weightless moisturizer in it that is FABULOUS even in humidity. I love that fact that I have found and that Nexxus has made a shampoo that give hair some moisture even in the summer. After spending time at the beach or poolside we all need to take care of our dried out locks.  Words do not do this shampoo justice. While I know it is not organic and does contain chemicals that I have steered away from sometimes you go back and its just that sometimes besides I could not help myself when I saw this on the shelf at the drugstore. I do want you to mix and match with other conditioners and treatments like I do. Everyone’s hair needs are different and you need not stay loyal  I never do unless it works. Remember what works now might not work a few months from now your  hair has need and it changes when the weather or even the season changes. Its like our foundation for our skin you may need to change the color from light to medium at this time of the year when your getting some sun. Well our hair changes too.

Summer and Sunscreen

Now I know its not officially summer yet however this is Memorial Day Weekend makes it the unofficial start to summer. I want to stress to you my wonderful and supportive readers that it is crucial that you WEAR SUNSCREEN! It’s important all year round but if you have neglected to do slather it on in the past today is a new day and you can start fresh today and put it on everywhere from your face right down to those toes that are probably in flip-flops! Please don’t forget to put it on even under those places that are covered by a swimsuit! Do REAPPLY often especially while out swimming or sweating! I know I sound preachy but it is so important! I will give you my top 3 Sunscreens but honestly something is better than nothing.

Please keep in mind your Children! I found Coppertone Water Babies SPF 50 to best and most preferred by parents. Anyone looking for an alternative  to that used Yes To Cucumbers Natural Sunscreen SPF 40 for Kids.

Revlon Nail Enamel

Hi Again Beauty Bag Fans! I am just so happy to be back on again and to have so much to share that I will share with you one more find and I promise I will be brief. I have found a wonderful nail polish for all of you out there who don’t care for the gel manicure or the at home gel systems. If your sick of spending a ton of money weekly or you just want a break then I have your answer to everything that’s bugging you about your nails. Revlon  Nail Enamel.

 I bought this one afternoon after work. I had to be somewhere in less than a half hour and my nails were done and I had no time. I bought this bottle on a whim and literally applied it in my car waited a few minutes did a second coat a then me and my perfectly polished nails were ready! I was so happy!! No undercoat no top coat! I could not believe my eyes when three days later they still looked GREAT!

I purchased it in the number 85 Minted and I had no REGRETS! It lasted a total of 5 days before and chipping and fading but for no over or under coat I say that is a huge SCORE! I tested it later with an over and undercoat and it lasted about 8 days! However I give REVLONS NAIL ENAMEL A 5 $$$$$  on VALUE, QUILTY AND EFEECTIVENESS!! I LOVE THIS POLISH it IS MUCH BETTER THEN OTHERS I’VE POSTED ABOUT! It only costs $5 a bottle and it is money WELL SPENT! Keep it in your BEAUTY BAG you never know when you will need it!
