Not until recently when on a whim I decided to pick up Laura Geller's Air Whipped Blush in Whisper Mulberry did I find out what I was really missing. The whipped cream like texture makes it hard to make a mistake. You use your fingers and it just glides on like a delicate soufflé. My gosh I never thought that I would like blush so much and if you feel you went a little heavy just grab the Laura Geller Highlighter from her Eye Elements Baked Eyeshadow & Highlighter Quad I reviewed a little over a week ago and it softens it up! You cannot make a mistake with this Air Whipped Blush.

I was in a rush one Saturday morning and I use this blush as a quick eyeshadow! it made me look put together but not over done for running errands before going to the gym. It didn't sweat off and when I got home 5 hours later I still had this ethereal glow to my cheeks and eyelids even though I did a ninety minute spin class. Butter London Pop Art Trio

Hello to all my Beautiful Readers,

As promised I have been testing and retesting another set of three nail polishes. These are the Butter London Pop Art Trio. I bought these in search of the perfect nail polish. I was attracted to these because they are a limited edition from Butter London and the colors looked like fun! I like to play with nail polishes so I thought why not give these a try?



Butter London Keks

The first color I decided to try from the Pop Art Collection is the Keks which is described as an opaque, vivid blue crème it is also an new nail color to the Butter London Line. I used is several different ways with a top coat and without and I had found that this pop of color was excellent it lasted either way for about 5 days before chipping or fading which for me is pretty great since an average work week is 5 days! the only negative was that when I went to remove this nail color it left a blue sheen on my nails like a stain of sorts I hoped that the other colors would not do this.



Butter London Keks and Primrose Hill Picnic

I then tried the Primrose Hill Picnic described an opaque, tropical pink crème and that it is! It honestly seemed a little to bold for me in the bottle but after I applied it I love it! It is beautiful! Surprisingly it actually lasted 6 days for me with a topcoat and 5 days without! But it too left a pink sheen on my nails after removing!




Cheeky Chops by Butter London

I would say that two out of three is a score so far but I tested the third polish from the Pop Art Trio just the same and it was the Cheeky Chops which is described as an opaque, canary-yellow crème and it too was very beautiful! I put it threw the ringer wearing it no matter what the occasion and I love it and found that everyone complimented me on this interesting bold color. I found that it lasted about 5 days with or without the topcoat and it too like the other two in its collection left a sheen on my nails after removing!

While the sheen that all three of the Butter London Pop Art Trio nail polishes left on nails may have annoyed me I cannot say that this is a deal breaker. I give BUTTER LONDON POP ART COLLECTION A 4 $$$$ FOR QUALITY. THEY LASTED FOR AN AVERAGE OF 5 DAYS AND TESTING THREE DIFFERENT COLORS THAT ALL LAST IS RARE! THE FACT THAT THEY ALL THREE LEFT A SHEEN AFTER REMOVING IS ONE OF THE ONLY NEGATIVES WHICH IS WHY THEY DO NOT GET A FIVE. HOWEVER I WILL BE KEEPING THESE AND ADDING MORE IN MY BEAUTY BAG!!

The cost for the Butter London Pop Art Collection is $45 for the trio. I purchased them several weeks ago from www.butterlondon.com I went back to check out more polishes and have realized that they have put this particular trio on what they call "holiday" but I did not want you all to be disappointed so I did some more research and found the same ones for the same price on www.zappos.com I hope you ENJOY them as much as I do!! Laura Geller Eye Elements Baked Eyeshadow & Highlighter Quad this handy little compact has EVERYTHING you need! The shadow I purchased is in the Amethyst Skies and I don't regret it for a second! Let me tell you the Laura Geller baked line is so wonderful it is a creamy delight on your eyelids! The shadow glides on without tugging and the way it blends makes you feel like you are the professional make-up artist you always dreamed to be! I even put it to the real test using it with an under eye primer and without and this shadow performed equally on both! So use an under eye primer or don't if you don't have the time because this was AMAZING!

A Beauty Bag Must Have!

I made the choice of Amethyst Skies because I heard somewhere that purple goes well with blue eyes and they were right it only took me a few different kinds of shadows to land the Laura Geller Eye Elements Baked Eyeshadow & Highlighter Quad. The dark shade seemed scary at first but after playing around and blending I really got the hang of it and the highlighter part of the quad is my new obsession I swept it over my entire lid and honestly that could have been enough for an easy day look but its buildable and it looks fabulous I even took a larger brush and swept the highlight across my cheeks and WOW did it make me glow!!

John Masters Organics Vitamin C Anti-Aging Face Serum

Happy Sunday Everyone!

This Sunday I actually have something to be happy about! I am super excited to bring you a product that I actually like! While I must warn that this product is for dry/mature skin so its not really for me I still wanted to try it because I think it is NEVER to early to start thinking about premature aging! If you want to look good and stay looking good for a long time then you have to start early!

With the John Masters Organics Vitamin C Anti-Aging Face Serum I started off slow very slow because my skin is not yet mature. I used it once a day three days out of the week at night for two weeks then I used twice a day three times a weeks from here on out! I am HOOKED! It is light, silky, cooling on the skin and quickly absorbs. Depending on your skin you may use one to two pumps! While other serums that are "organic" sting and burn this one was a pleasant surprise (See Juice Beauty Review Below) . I put it on let it dry for no more that an minute and went on with moisturizer at night or moisturizer, primer and make-up for day! The results are a brighter completion and a healthy glow. Even on the days I did not use the Vitamin C Serum my skin had this ethereal glow to it even without make-up. For me that alone is worth it!

Hello Everyone,

On my quest for nail perfection I came across Julep Nail Polish. I was super excited and wanted to give it a try. I grabbed two bottles one called Lacey which had a shimmer finish and the second bottle was called Florence which had a crème finish. The bottles cost $14 each so I had pretty high expectations which may have been my first mistake.

Juleps Lacey was a one day wonder!

I started on clean dry nails and opened up Lacey. I not a huge fan of any type of glitter polish because in the past they have been hard to remove this was not the case. After applying it at night waiting for it to dry and going to bed I got up in the morning and started my work day as usual I did nothing out of the ordinary and this polish began to chip and fade!! It only took half the day and my manicure look awful!! I was annoyed but thought that I should still give it a chance I reapplied again and the same thing happened.

However me being me I still gave the Nail Polish Florence a chance because it seemed perfect for an event I was headed off to in a couple of hours. I love it for the neutral color and for the fact that it lasted for that evening but the next day the same thing happed to the Julep Florence as it did to the Julep Lacey. CHIPPED and FADED!!

Juleps Lacey was a ONE and DONE!!

Well what can I say I spent $28 for perfection that lasted 18 hours 6 or 7 of which I was sleeping for. Over all, I give the JULEP brand of polish A 2 $$ RATING! IT IS ONLY GOOD FOR ONE DAY SO DON'T EXPECT MORE!! I WILL KEEP THESE FOR THOSE KIND OF MOMENTS! THEY DON'T LAST SO DO NOT BUY JULEP AND GET FOOLED LIKE I DID!

Juice Beauty

Hello Again Everyone,

I have to do it one more time and I really don't like doing this but its a must! Its another unfavorable review about some products that I really tried to like for so many reasons.  Juice Beauty is organic and made it the USA but anything good about it ends there!

I took a leap of faith a few weeks ago and decided to buy two kits from Juice Beauty. One was the Juice Beauty Age Defy Solution Kit valued at $60 selling for $39 (should have been a red flag warning) but I went ahead bought it and then decided to throw in Juice Beauty SPF 8 Lip Moisturizers. It was three lip balms for $15 I didn't think much of it thought it was an average deal and hey its organic! WRONG MOVE!

I got the stuff delivered to my door step and I was super excited. I stared with the lip balms trying them out and they didn't taste bad and seem okay until a few hour later my lips were burnt and fiery red! My lips are never chapped or in pain until I used Juice Beauty SPF 8 Lip Moisturizers. The pain was awful and my lips look like I lite them on fire which was also how they felt! Luckily it only lasted for a few days! So needless to say I am going to pull out the 0 $ FOR THE SECOND TIME! JUICE BEAUTY SPF 8 LIP MOISTURIZERS ARE A COMPLETE FAIL DO NOT AND REPEAT DO NOT PLACE THESE IN YOUR BEAUTY BAG!

Now for my second kit, The Juice Beauty Age Defy Solution Kit. Here is the best way for me to break it down for you. Product by product.

 Green Apple Cleansing Gel - Smells good but DOES NOT CLENSE WELL leaves skin shiney but not smooth and clean. Makeup is still on even if you scrub (which you shouldn't)

 Green Apple Peel Full Strength- Not sure what is peels but it will leave your skin RED and it STINGS but that is about it!

 Green Apple Age Defy Serum- Again this serum smells good but does not absorb quickly like other serums I have now tested and will tell you about but this one is A NO!

Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer- After torturing your skin with the first three steps you would thing the moisturizer would help but it IRRITATES your skin so badly that you almost cry! I HATED IT! I mean LOATH IT!

 Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer- This was the night moisturizer that I honestly was so AFRAID to try after putting my skin threw hell but I did it and this was actually the golden child of the kit! the only savor! Made my skin finally relax and feel smooth and cooling! SEEMED TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE THE OTHER JUICE BEAUTY PRODUCTS DID TO MY SKIN.

OVERALL I GIVE JUICE BEAUTY AGE DEFY SOLUTION KIT A 0 $ EVEN THE GREEN APPLE AGE DEFY MOISTURIZER COULD NOT SAVE YOU! YOU TOURCHERED MY SKIN AND LIPS! THIS STUFF IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE EVERYONE SAVE YOUR MONEY BUT MOST OF ALL YOUR SKIN! IT MAY SAY IT FOR EVERYONE  AGE 20 AND UP BUT NOT FOR SENSITIVE SKIN BUT IT WILL GIVE THE ONES WITHOUT SENSITIVE SKIN SENSTIVE SKIN! STAY AWAY!

I am here to report to you about a product that I have been looking for and this one is unfortunate. I thought I was making a good choice since it is organic however, I was mistaken and taken for TWICE. This is the SkinnySkinny Organic Dry Shampoo in the Rose and Black Pepper Scent.  I found this a boutique and after doing some research before I bought it I found out it was made by a small business in Brooklyn New York. I gave it a try. That was my first mistake. I am going to be brutally honest because for $32.00 I expect the best however, after I opened it up and saw that it was only half filled I knew I was in for a ride. I used it and it only had enough in the container for three uses. It DID NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO LIVING UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS!!

I used it after work to get me to dinner and my hair showed no improvement if anything it made it OILY and when I say oily I mean it looked better before I used the SkinnySkinny dry shampoo. I was not as upset that the product was a complete failure as much as I was when I informed the company about there half filled product they were VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECFUL! I never asked for my money back or anything like that instead I got a whole bunch of well that's impossible I watch the production line from start to finish. The fact that they treated me so AWFULLY is just NOT RIGHT I only wanted an I'm sorry even if it was fake.

Fresh Rose Freshface Primer

HAPPY LABOR DAY READERS!

I know I have been not blogging in a while however I have been on a huge mission. A labor of love of sorts. I have had nothing but BAD experiences with Primers  (see previous review of Pixi Primer) and since then it has been my personal mission to find a PRIMER! Well after trying a few more primers that I thought would work I finally found THE ONE!

The primer I am talking about is Fresh's Fresh Rose Freshface Primer!! OH MY GOODNESS I have searched high end and drugstores for a primer for way to long until I found this one! It is THE BEST! It goes on after any moisturizer, treatments and SPF of course but BEFORE your make-up! This primer glides on so smoothly and makes pores disappear before your eyes! I mean I have worn it alone without makeup because honestly I LOVE IT that much! It really makes you look put together even before any makeup goes on! It does smell like roses too! The scent is not heavy and goes away after applying but I am telling you will want to wear this even to bed to seal in any products you use or even to the gym just to have that I have great natural looking skin look.

I know, I have sung its praises enough you want to know how much well its not the cheapest it is $35 for one ounce on the Fresh website. Honestly, the website is the only place I trust to order it from. I know that you can probably go threw this pretty quickly, I sure can so I will still try to find a primer at the drugstore even if it make my face break out its still my mission to have at least two! However, the FRESH ROSE FRESHFACE PRIMER GET A 5 $$$$$ FROM ME BECAUSE SOMETIMES NO MATTER THE PRICE A GREAT PRODUCT IS JUST WORTH MAKING YOU LOOK AND FEEL GREAT! SO I WILL ALWAY TRY TO HAVE IT IN MY BEAUTY BAG!

Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo

Hello to all of my faithful readers!

 I have been very busy with a fan request. I have been testing and retesting Burt’s Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate Shampoo. After one use I must say I was not impressed but you know me I don’t just use it once and give up! I gave this shampoo an honest try and after one week I couldn’t take it anymore! Although it is 99.6% natural which is something I love it just did not cut it for me. It was not the fact that it didn’t lather I do mind that since its to be expected with an natural shampoo and is sulfate free. The fact that my hair felt dry and came out knotty and unmanageable which is NOT what my hair does is what makes me NOT LIKE THIS SHAMPOO! I must note that since the last time I did use Burt’s Bees shampoos A LOT HAS CHANGED and it not only the bottle. They seem to have changed the formula and the fact that I did not see my usual sugar beet and grapefruit shampoo should have been a red flag but you know me and I can refuse a new beauty product to put in my beauty bag. However this particular shampoo did NOTHING for me but actually seemed to cause damage. They call it Very Volumizing  but it had actually made my hair heavy and flat! The old formula did make my hair full of volume this one FELL FLAT! I can only say that the smell was pleasant it kept my hair clean for a full work day but after work it really felt like you could go straight to a dinner out! I needed to go home and wash my hair in order to feel good again!

I CAN NOT tell all you to go out and buy this and to expect a good result that will last. If you need your hair to look okay for a few hour then yes but come on NO ONE want their hair to look only okay we want it to look great and you will NOT ACHIEVE GREAT with this shampoo. You will however waste about $8.00 that you could have put towards a better shampoo (See my other posts for better shampoo’s) I GIVE BURT’S BEES VERY VOLUMIZING SHAMPOO A 1 $ and that is being generous. The shampoo does nothing and my advice is for Burt’s Bees to go back to the lab and try again OR go back to the old formula! This IS NOT IN MY BEAUTY BAG!!
